Mindya

Tucked into the foothills of the Balkan Mountains, Mindya is a small village with a strong character. Located around 20 kilometres from Veliko Tarnovo, it offers peaceful countryside, traditional houses and an easy connection to one of Bulgaria’s most historic cities.

Life here moves at its own pace, but the village is far from silent. Local gatherings, community initiatives, creative projects and music bring residents and visitors together throughout the year.

Mindya is simply a place to pass through. It is a village to slow down in, meet people, listen to music and discover the pleasure of ordinary moments.

Old Roots, Living Village

Mindya has grown between the hills, the river and the old road connecting Veliko Tarnovo with the Elena Balkan. Its traditional houses, quiet lanes and surrounding landscape carry the memory of generations who lived and worked here.

Today, this heritage exists alongside a lively contemporary community. People from different places have made Mindya their home, bringing new ideas while respecting the village’s character. The result is a place where local traditions, creative energy and everyday village life naturally meet.
